“Through her vision, energy and focus, Joanna successfully implemented a number of new initiatives. From starting fundraising in a new country to developing an investment fund for rural enterprises, her hard work and dynamism has been vital for Christian Aid ”
“Joanna helped the management team at Training for Health Equity Network, a growing movement advocating for socially accountable health professional education, to develop a three-year business plan for its main funder. This helped us focus on our key areas of growth and led to successfully securing the on-funding we needed.”

Joanna has been passionate about social enterprise and international development since 2000, spending 4 years in Peru to set up a social enterprise for women in disadvantaged urban areas. She has since accumulated many years of international development experience, including at Christian Aid setting up a support and investment programme for rural small and medium enterprises in over 15 countries.
With 10 years of experience fundraising for the arts, medical research, international health and international development, Joanna has a track record securing significant funding from individuals, foundations, corporations and governments as well as improving organisations’ fundraising return on investment by helping them focus on what works best for them. She has advised and supported over 20 social enterprises and charities through a start-up process, or helped build their capacity and improve their sustainability. Joanna is trilingual (English, French, Spanish) and holds an International Politics degree and an MBA.
